I adore this name but i'm not sure whether i should go with Francesca as i think she will get Cesca. Other option is Frances but i think it would probably get shortened to Fran, again don't like. Opinions and advice needed pleaseGrin

Frances nn Frankie

Lemondrop99 · 10/08/2017 15:35

I think both are nice. The Frances I know gets Franny

I love just Frankie as a first name. I'm not a fan of having a "birth certificate name" and then a nickname that they're always known by. I'd rather the real name just be the one I like the most, even if that is considered a nickname.

Francesca nn Chessie.

Francesca, but I love Frankie and Chesca as shortenings, not a fan of Fran though

Frances and Francesca are both lovely, but I prefer Frances. DD's friend is called Frances and, now that she's nearly 11, it does get shortened to Fran, but that's her (DD's friend) choice.

Both work if you are aiming for the nickname Frankie. Personally I'd go for Frances because I'm not mad on Francesca.

Love Francesca.
