Wobble over chosen name

Hi
We have an appointment to register dd today but I am having last minute doubts over out choice. It took us ages to agree on her first name, (middle name was decided first and is sentimental)

Her name is Juliet Lorna (surname is similar to Coleman)

We've only had positive comments but that's to be expected. I am worried it's a bit "grown up" but remind myself she will be an adult a long time.! I think part of the problem is that we still call her the nickname she had inside so rarely say it out loud!

It's 4am and I am bored feeding so thought I would ask the opinions of the outside world!!

It's beautiful!

I prefer the Juliette spelling but it hardly matters.

You have chosen well!

If it helps I gave my daughter the sober, adult version of a cutesy name that's very common. She now hates it when people mistake her for it! She loves her strong make in a sea of Poppies, Maisies, Daisies, etc.

It's a beautiful name. I know a 4 year old Juliet who goes by Ju-Ju if you want something cutesy as a nickname.

Badgoushk · 20/07/2017 11:43

You could nickname her Letty/Lettie.

Juliet Lorna is stunning. She will thank you in years to come for such a lovely name. Congrats!

BikeRunSki · 20/07/2017 12:33

Juliet is one of my favourite names, and I was very miffed that DH didn't like it for DD.

I know another child who has an "et" name, and is widely known as Ettie. But you can nickname her whatever you want, including her "unborn"name.

Beautiful name! Congratulations Flowers

EmmaC78 · 20/07/2017 13:52

I like it too. Defunately a good choice.

NoPressureNoDiamonds · 20/07/2017 14:00

I love it too - classic but not common and very beautiful. In fact I might pinch it lol.

ConstanceCraving · 20/07/2017 15:07

Juliet has always been a favourite of mine.

Lovely names OP.

It's a beautiful name.😀

That's a gorgeous name. Choosing a name is hard and I agree with HeyRoly that babies seem too small for names in general. I love my dd's name but most of the time I call her 'baby' instead of her actual name still (dd is 3 months old). I fully expect her to grow into her name and I'm glad I didn't pick the name based on what would suit her as a small girl as she'll have to introduce herself as an adult for a lot longer.

growinglavender · 20/07/2017 16:38

She doesn't need to nickname her anything. Juliet is a lovely name and I like the fact she was presumably born in July Smile

That name is a timeless classic! Beautiful!
