Boy names that work in French and English

That's it, really, what names do you know that work in both languages? We're in a majority English-speaking environment but most people can hack a tiny bit of French, so it can be a bit on the French side but not impossibly so.

I don't really care about length. We'll hyphenate our last names, one is very English and one is very French.

Fwiw this comes up quite regularly, worth doing a search to see if there are any suggestions you like on earlier threads :-)

Thanks spinassienne, I did have a look but it was only half-hearted, I'll look again for more ideas!

I only know one Theo, which is a great name.

Unfortunately his mother can't pronounce 'Th'........

Beachbaby2017 · 19/07/2017 23:02

Grin Izzy what does she say? Well, I suppose to her, her pronunciation is his name, right?

Nicolas/Nico is lovely

I know a Theo pronounced Tayo, which I quite like. Not sure where that pronunciation comes from

Beachbaby2017 · 20/07/2017 02:03

Lemon, if you write it Théo, that accent on the e makes it have an "ay" sound, so Tayo. I like it too.

The Theo-pronounced-Tayo I know doesn't have an accent because he is German rather than French.
