Theodore. A person called Matthew put me off the name completely.

KoolKoala07 · 15/07/2017 19:41

Theodore! Matthew is boring.

midsomermurderess · 16/07/2017 00:31

Matthew, timeless and classic.

dontpokethebear · 16/07/2017 00:36

Where are all these Theodores?! I have one and there is only 1 other in his school (Admittedly not a huge school).

That said, Matthew is a lovely name. I like how it looks!

mum2be2boys · 16/07/2017 10:22

Definitely Matthew (I am biased though as my eldest is a Matthew!)

I don't know if popularity concerns you, but there are two Theodores (both shortened to Theo) in his reception class and one in the other reception class. He's the only Matthew though :-)

Matthew is a 1970's name like Sonia. It's nice enough though

ilivebythesea · 16/07/2017 12:00

Love Theo (only know one here), but not so keen on Theodore. Matthew, hmmm, I know loads ranging from 3 years to 40+, so not sure if I'd class it as timeless or overused! I do like it though and nn Matt, but would probably go with Theo if it was my choice.

Matthew - but only because I thought that Theodore was a woman's name throughout my childhood. Even though I know I was completely wrong, I still see it that way.

Loopy567 · 16/07/2017 18:48

Matthew, had this name for DC2 except DC2 was DD. I know that Theo who is not very nice - well a bit of a bully.

CPtart · 16/07/2017 19:53

Matthew. Lots of little Theo's about.
