I know it's been done but I'm looking for inspiration.

Don't know what we are having, already have a Cadi and a Morus (pronounced Morris)

Dh is Welsh speaking and the kids will go to Welsh school but my family are English so I'd like something they can pronounce.

I love the name Dylan but (Welsh) DH vetoed as it's pronounced slightly different in Welsh and he doesn't like the English pronunciation (I'm English). We gave our son the middle name Elis as it's a name we both liked but is also easy for the English side of the family to pronounce and spell.

I also like the names Iestyn and Steffan.

Whyhellodaffodil · 10/07/2017 18:24

I love Elis or Tomas for a boy or Enfys, Alys and Eirwen for girls names.

Oh we are based in English - dd has a Welsh name but we are struggling to agree anything for future baby

Stardustandicecream · 10/07/2017 19:56

Also arwen though I'm not sure if that's the welsh spelling

piefacedClique · 10/07/2017 19:58

Osian (oshan). Loved it for our little boy but husband said nope!

LilaBard · 10/07/2017 19:59

Non welsh person here, curious as to how you say the name Iestyn? And is Osian similar to the Irish boys name Oisín (Osh-een or Ush-een depending on where you're from) or totally different?
Some beautiful names in this thread!

LilaBard · 10/07/2017 20:01

Ah, crosspost so I see one of my questions is answered already :)

VanessaBet · 10/07/2017 20:16

LilaBard I would pronounce it 'Yes-tin'

welshweasel · 10/07/2017 20:25
