Hi there. I had my 6 week scan today and it turns out there's not just one in there! The doctor seems to think it's twins, bit I'll need to have a follow up scan to confirm. I've posted on here a few times about names for the little one(s) so sorry if I'm getting a bit tiring lol but I would really appreciate it if i could get your opinions on some of these names. We also have a 1 year old Leo. Obviously too early to see the genders of the babies yet.

Our girls names so far -

Aisling Eilidh (pronounced Ash-ling, Aye-lee)
Dearbhla (Dervla)
Eva Marie (Evamarie, or Eva-Marie / just Eva)
Róisín
Brianne/Brianna
Piper
Ivy
Selina

Our boy names so far -

Samuel Perry
Cooper Gray/Grant
Alexander Grant (Grant for my brother who died in January)

Kind of struggling with boys names I can't find any I like so far xx

From your list, I like;
Samuel Perry, but prefer Samuel Grant, by a long chalk !
Samuel Grant is a fine name.
Selina is lovely, as is Celeste.
How about Sabrina, bit of a mix of Selina and Brianna.
Or how about Arianna ?

Isadora2007 · 10/07/2017 12:44

I'm not sure I would go for an Irish couple of names when you already have a Leo. (Liam maybe, but not Leo!)
I honestly think it's really early too as you could have boy/girl combo etc. Just avoid matching initials or rhymes!!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 10/07/2017 12:48

Awwwww. So cute. Twins always make me think of baby lambs.
Eva and Roisin for twin girls.
Alexander and Samuel for 2 boys.
Roisin and Alexander for B&G twins

27Harper · 10/07/2017 13:02

Forgot to mention DH is Irish, so he suggested a few Irish names that's where they come from lol xx

Rory and Alexander twin boys
Eva and Ivy twin girls
Or niamh and Oona Irish names not too hard to spell and sound good in English. Smile

27Harper · 10/07/2017 15:01

Gosh I'm going to be massive. I was big as it it is with my DS, let alone two of them in there. Like a snake that swallowed a bowling ball xx

I like Aisling and Dearbhla for twin girls, or Eva and Selina.

Hairydilemma · 10/07/2017 16:15

Congratulations! I have twin girls, it's mad but lovely Smile.

I read that twin names tend to go well together if one starts with the last letter of the other. Not sure god true this is, but I did it unintentionally with my two before I'd read it!

Hairydilemma · 10/07/2017 16:15

how true this is

Elbi · 10/07/2017 16:54

If you like Brianne/Brianna I really like Brialli which means primrose in Cornish.

ExPresidents · 10/07/2017 17:28

Aisling and Roisin

Cooper and Grant

mummyretired · 10/07/2017 17:35

Harmony and Melody
Shannon and Niamh

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 10/07/2017 17:40

Leo, Selina and Samuel.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 10/07/2017 17:41

Selina Roisin and Samuel Grant.
Leo, Rosie and Sam.

EllaNB · 10/07/2017 17:45

If you are only six weeks you have a long time to think about names. I am 32 weeks pregnant with twin boys and I am no closer to choosing name 🙈 good luck!

MikeUniformMike · 10/07/2017 17:48

I'd go with Grant as a middle name for a boy.

OSETmum · 10/07/2017 17:56

Don't go for Eva when you have so many other lovely choices, every other girl is a variation of Eva!

I'd split Aisling and Elidh and have those names for a girl and another Irish name for a boy; Eoghan?

LadyPug · 10/07/2017 18:00

I love Piper from your list! ❤️

LadyPug · 10/07/2017 18:01

That Cornish one from elbi looks good too but not sure how to pronounce it!

Mollie85 · 10/07/2017 18:51

Another Cornish name, but so melodic - Elowen. It goes nicely with Aisling. Or even Eilidh (which I think is Scottish? Correct me if I'm wrong). I actually really like Eirlys too, which is Welsh. Sorry, going off on a tangent Grin

If you like Ivy what about Iris (meaning rainbow).

Boys names - Samuel and Alexander are fine (not my naming style but good, solid, inoffensive names). The reasons for using Grant are obviously very important too. Flowers
Have you considered any Irish boys names? I really like Daithi- Irish for David and meaning "beloved".

Good luck!

27Harper · 10/07/2017 22:58

Selina Roisin I like a lot actually! I know it's very early days I'm just so excited lol! Will have three children two and under when they're born it's going to be hectic. Bye bye sleep! Perry was my grandfather's name so that's where that comes from but prefer Grant xx

Samuel Grant and Alexander Something

Girl/Boy twins -

Samuel Grant and Aisling Eilidh

Nice mixture of names. Good, solid names and a few Irish and Scottish names in there as well. Sorry to hear about your brother OP that's terrible Flowers

FartnissEverbeans · 11/07/2017 07:36

Eilidh is Scottish and it's pronounced A-lee, not eye-lee.

I like Ivy best

27Harper · 11/07/2017 07:50

I know, as I am Scottish. And everyone I know pronounces it Aye-lee. There are several pronunciations of it x
