Flicking through a magazine, waiting for my turn at the doctors surgery.

A lady has 10 boys!

She has called the youngest rothagaidh.

Any know how it is said?

And wow to 10 boys!

Could be Roderick?

AberdeenAngusina · 07/07/2017 17:15

If that's Scottish Gaelic the final dh will be silent. But I've never come across that name before.

MarvinKMooney · 07/07/2017 17:19

Possibly Rogie?

NuffSaidSam · 07/07/2017 17:19

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogie_Falls

Apparently it is the Gaelic name for some waterfalls in Scotland.

Maybe he's named after where he was conceived?

Do you think they call him Rogie for short? I quite like it.

No idea how to pronounce it though.

AberdeenAngusina · 07/07/2017 17:21

Google tells me it's the original Gaelic for a waterfall now usually anglicised to "Rogie" I've been to this waterfall several times; it's a popular walk. Perhaps the waterfall has some significance for her?

Rogie is cute.
Thanks

It's pronounced Rogie.
And he wasn't conceived alfresco 😁
