We will hopefully soon be meeting our much waited for rainbow baby and are struggling to find a name that fits in well with our other daughters.

For boys we like Leo, Jacob and Arlo and would appreciate your views on which fits best.

For girls we are really struggling, names we have considered are Olivia, Erin, Imogen and Summer but we just don't love them and would really appreciate any thoughts and new suggestions.

I know a family of three sisters whose names are Amelia, Ella and Jemima. Of your boys' names, I prefer Jacob.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 07/07/2017 13:32

Ella, Amelia and Isobel.
Ella, Amelia and Miranda.
Ella, Amelia and Harriet.

Jessica or Nathan

Thank you for your thoughts and suggestions, so Jacob and Leo seem more of a good fit than Arlo (husband will be pleased!)

Funny enough my youngest daughter said to me this morning that her favourite girls name is now Molly, I like for a baby and a child but not sure if it would suit an adult, what do you think? Jemima is nice and not one I'd considered, just can't help think of puddle duck!

Molly can be short Mary or Margaret.

But thinking about Mol Flanders, you can just drop the 'y' once grown up. I know someone who did this with Jenny, they became Jen.

My little boy is called Jacob so obviously I love it. For a girl we would have had Imogen but I think it's incredibly personal. You have to love the name! Why not wait until they are born and then decide?

hopsalong · 07/07/2017 16:32

Jacob and Imogen!

I think if it's another DD you should avoid a third name ending in 'a'. Imogen is great because it fits with your other daughters' names but also sonically contrasts, if you see what I mean!

frowner · 07/07/2017 19:55

Yes will definitely be waiting until they are born to make a final decision, was just hoping to have narrowed it down to a favourite two or three to make it a little easier!

Ella, Amelia and Imogen
Ella, Amelia and Jacob

Another vote for Jacob.

Faith is lovely.

Chloe, Harriet, and Sophie also sprang to mind.

Buntysoven · 10/07/2017 00:40

Molly would be lovely...and such a sweet link to her sister. My gran was called Molly. It wadnt her given first name but she was called it anyway so it doesn't seem odd on an adult to me

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 10/07/2017 08:28

Ella, Amelia and Faith.
Yes, very nice !😀

frowner · 10/07/2017 12:01

Thank you all so much, really appreciate your thoughts and suggestions. Lots to think about 😀

Molly is lovely and a perfectly good grown-up name when she's older.

As well as Faith, have you thought about Joy or Hope?

frowner · 11/07/2017 13:32

Thank you. Faith is out as husband pronunces th as f! Hope is our chosen middle name for a girl. Our surname is one syllable so I think a first name with more than one may flow better.
