What do you think? DH is set on it, I actively like it, but get stuck on Con or Rad being the logical shortening so of it. Rad is ok, not keen on Con.

I don't like it at all, but I don't think it'd necessarily be shortened either. If I knew a Conrad, I'd just call him that unless he used a shortening. It's not a long enough, or popular enough, name to have an assumed shortening.

I like it a lot. Was on our early list. I wouldn't shorten it tbh. I knew one growing up and he always just went by Conrad.

I think if you wanted 'Rad' as a nickname you'd have to push that pretty hard. The emphasis is on the first syllable so people would more naturally call him Con.

I have always liked that name, I think if it gets shortened it's more likely to be Con (which I also like).

Someone in my family is called Conrad. His names is never shortened, I think it is a great name.

DD has a distinctive two syllable name (Juno) so think they could work well together

It's a good name reminds me of the film Cat in the hat as that's the name of the boy.

If it's important to you, he's not only the only one in his class, but the only one in his school, but no-one has any trouble with his name.
