Would be Cassie / Cass for short. Smilethoughts on the full name Cassandra?

I haven't heard that name in ages!

I do like it.

I'd probably spell the nickname as Cassie.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 16/06/2017 19:49

Lovely name. I think it's beautiful.

SuperBeagle · 16/06/2017 19:59

I love Cassie but I'm not a huge fan of Cassandra, although there's nothing wrong with it.

She'd be CasSANdra here in Australia, but CasSAHNdra in NZ. Hmm This is the reason I chose not to name either DD Alexandra. I can't stand the SAHN pronunciation.

My all time favourite literary heroine! (I capture the castle). Sadly it didnt go with our lengthy surname so i couldnt use it Sad. I pronounce it SARN. Sounds better that way imo.

I dont associate it with rodney so dont assume everyone will.

Cassandra is beautiful! I can't see what is old fashioned about it...?! Lovely name!

HotelEuphoria · 16/06/2017 20:17

Mais oui, mon dieu!

HotelEuphoria · 16/06/2017 20:19

Sorry, that was jokes. I really really can't see beyond only fools and horses. Sorry, it must be my age.

Yika · 16/06/2017 20:59

I know a little Cassandra, what an utterly beautiful name! (Ker-SARN-dra for me).

Sophronia · 16/06/2017 21:56

I like it. I'd say it Cass-AN-dra (from the South West).

alltouchedout · 16/06/2017 22:00

CassANdra. Lovely. I like Cass as a nickname too.

helenfagain · 16/06/2017 22:06

If we'd had a girl she probably would have been called Cassandra.
