Thought on the name Austin.
Any suggestions similar would be also great too. Thanks.

I like it. I know a five year old Austin who is adorable and it suits him lots.

I also know a 30odd year old Austin but he usually goes by Oz instead.

Roomba · 28/05/2017 20:41

Here (North West) it would be 'Oss-tin'.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 28/05/2017 20:48

I don't know any. Good choice OP. 😄

I love it, not unusual at all but uncommon without being ridiculous

29Palms · 28/05/2017 21:09

It's a variant of Augustine, so has a sound pedigree.

myusernameisnotmyusername · 28/05/2017 21:10

My friend has an Austin. I like it. She shortens it to Ozzy which is cute.

SuperBeagle · 28/05/2017 21:36

I like Austin. Smile

And I love Austin, Texas. So that's a good association, for me.

Aquamarine1029 · 28/05/2017 21:49

Austin is a beautiful name. Absolutely go for it.

Sophronia · 28/05/2017 23:18

I like it

Limer · 28/05/2017 23:20

OK providing your surname isn't Healey, Rover or Seven.

austenozzy · 28/05/2017 23:50

Limer - I'm an Austen, and when I was young there was a car called an Austin Princess, which gave my mates endless fun. But most of the time I was just called Oz or Ozzy.

lottiegarbanzo · 29/05/2017 08:35

Car make primarily but nice name, I've met an adult one.

I think it's a very British, old man name - like Neville, or Victor.

I'd think you were 'being American' if you gave it to a girl.

Limer · 29/05/2017 11:19

Austenozzy I'd forgotten the Austin Princess! One of my friends' dads had one - OMG it was a crappy old rustbucket.

MikeUniformMike · 29/05/2017 13:44

I know a couple of Austins - one OK, one not OK. It is a variation on Augustine, which could be abbreviated to Gus.

RuthB4 · 29/05/2017 16:15

I'm really not keen. Sorry! I prefer someone's suggestion of Ashton.

What about:
Miller
Gray/Grayson
Reid
Abel
