Sophia. I'm really not a fan of Thea. It makes think of thawed out food

AceholeRimmer · 27/05/2017 16:40

Sophia definitely!

RedBugMug · 27/05/2017 16:52

Thea
there are so many called Sofia/Sophia/Sophie that they need numbering. (3 in each dc's class)

Thatextrainch · 27/05/2017 16:55

I'm not keen on Thea but Sophia is very popular where I live (and I bet a majority of them have Rose as a middle name).

SelfObsessionHoney · 27/05/2017 17:01

I prefer Thea but would be pissed off if people said 'Fea' and didn't pronounce the TH properly.

Rockaby · 27/05/2017 17:55

Yes, I imagine there are many Sophie Roses around!

Personally, I would try to go with a less well used middle name, especially if you go with Sophie, as it is quite well used.

I slightly prefer Sophie, but both are lovely names.

How about Sophie Thea or Thea Sophie?

Rockaby · 27/05/2017 17:56

Sophia sorry! Go away autocorrect Grin.

pinkblink · 27/05/2017 18:06

I always thought Thea was pronounced Tia 🙈

Bleurghghghgh · 27/05/2017 18:23

The Thea I know is Tay-ah - how are you planning on pronouncing it OP?

MusicToMyEars800 · 27/05/2017 18:27

My dd is called Sophia, I don't hear it much where I am which is surprising, I didn't give her a middle name but I would've given her May as a middle name if were to give her one.

MusicToMyEars800 · 27/05/2017 18:27

Sorry, my last post was my way of saying, I prefer Sophia.

Bluebeedee · 27/05/2017 18:29

Thea, pronounced Theea/Thia

I know so many Sophias and Sophies

DramaAlpaca · 27/05/2017 18:29

Sophia is a beautiful classic name. It's popular, but that's because it's such a lovely name. I like Sophia Rose.

With apologies to anyone who's got one, I find Thea a bit lispy and insubstantial.

Greylilypad · 27/05/2017 18:37

Definitely Thea.

sauceyorange · 27/05/2017 19:28

Thea. Beautiful meaning, lovely name which is feminine, isn't too girly and pretty but works for a barrister, ballet dancer or whatever she chooses to become.

user1459464195 · 27/05/2017 19:59

Sophia. I used to know a Thea pronounced Tay-a so I can't really get my head around Thee-a.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 27/05/2017 20:10

Sophia Rose is very nice.

SuperBeagle · 27/05/2017 21:12

Sophia by a million miles.

Not a fan of Thea.

Nonameyet1 · 29/05/2017 18:59

I have a Thea and when she hears someone being called Sophia in the park she often looks up, so names are quite similar. Both lovely.
