Pretty Dutch Girl's Names

I'm half Dutch and considering a Dutch name for DD, if there's one that's pretty, and not too hard to pronounce for British people. Saskia is a family name, which I love, but can't use. Any others you can think of?

Just deleted a few but: Marika, Anneke, Sabina, Caterina, Maria, Mina or Lieve, Liv, Sterre if you change the spelling!

ooh I have this situation too.

It's very hard - my DH is Dutch - we're going for names that are reasonably known in both English and Dutch... Interestingly we have a lot of Spanish names (Raphael for instance).

My neice is named Anouk, if you like that. Nora/Noor is very popular over there too at the moment.

Thanks. Yes, I was thinking a name that is Dutch in other origin. We like Anouk. Quite like Nora, though DH not convinced. Another kind of like Marlies, but would have to spell it Marlise to avoid it being mispronounced.

But after Beatrix (for being a dual name) it's definitely Anouk for me. Strong and pretty name. Can't get more Dutch than that combination!

LizzieMacQueen · 28/05/2017 13:04

what's your 2 year old daughter/son called?

TuddlesAndSisses · 28/05/2017 13:07

I don't know how Dutch it is, but I know a Dutch Lisette and I think it's a beautiful name

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 28/05/2017 18:05

Chloris, Anouk and Marlise, are both very lovely.
