Thanks for all the suggestions! I like a lot of them, especially Malachi, Saul, Jesse, Japheth, Zebediah and Thaddeus.

Of your list, Josiah and Micah are my favourite. Unusual, but not impossible to spell and can both be shortened to more normal nicknames (Joe, Mike) if that's what they want.

I love Ephraim. That was my grandfather's name and he was a lovely man. His name was Ephraim Joseph.

Asa will turn into a girls name if spelled Åsa (not from the bible though).

Didn't know about the name 'Micah', is that a variant of Michael? It must be.
