Hate Julieanne, like Julianna.

SirNiallDementia · 09/05/2017 16:41

It looks pretty but I wouldn't know whether to pronounce it Julie-Anna or Julie-arna I'm afraid!

29Palms · 09/05/2017 17:12

It's Julie-anna. Juliana with one N is pronounced Julie-arna (like the old Dutch Queen).

Have to say I prefer Julia, as the elongated variations are a bit too frilly for me.

Sophronia · 09/05/2017 17:31

I prefer Juliana (julie-ah-na)

squoosh · 09/05/2017 17:32

Nice name. Reminds me of Juliana Hatfield.

Helenluvsrob · 09/05/2017 17:36

Juliana as in the Dutch name is lovely as is julien/julienne
Julie Anne is too retro seventies throwback !

SuperBeagle · 09/05/2017 19:41

I vastly prefer Julia or Juliet.

HVB79 · 09/05/2017 19:49

Very pretty!

IHaveBrilloHair · 09/05/2017 19:50

It's nice, but likely to get shortened so make sure you like the shortened versions

Rockaby · 09/05/2017 19:58

Love it!

Mrsknackered · 09/05/2017 19:59

If I met a 30 year old called Julianna I wouldn't think anything of it. If I met a baby called Julianna, I'd think that it was an odd name for a little one!
But I'm probably in the minority!

grufallosfriend · 09/05/2017 22:50

Juliana is lovely.

Sunshineandlaughter · 09/05/2017 22:51

I prefer Julia or Juliet too

Yika · 09/05/2017 22:53

I find it a bit heavy myself.

I actually prefer julianne which has more of a carefree, tomboyish vibe.

C0untDucku1a · 09/05/2017 22:55

It makes me think of clive bixby.

Frazzled2207 · 09/05/2017 22:56

Like it, I think of Julianna Margulies (ER, The Good Wife) which is def a positive connotation.

NuffSaidSam · 09/05/2017 22:58

I love it. I'd pronounce it Julie-arna though, like Julianna Margulies (although maybe it's actually Julie-anna, but the American accent is making it sound like Julie-arna???)

I love a name with good nn potential and Julianna could be Julia, Jools, Lia or Anna.

Agree with others in that I love Julie-ahna, not so keen if it is said like Julie-anna. It does immediately make me think of Giuliana rancic though...so good or bad depending on personal opinion!

Big thanks to all!

I don't like Julieanne.

Juliana is really pretty imo :)!

PotahtoPotayto · 10/05/2017 13:41

Julianna works if you've got a mono-syllabic surname, IMO. If not, I'd go with Julia or Juliet.

Blissfull1 · 30/11/2017 23:11

A bit belated, but just want to say thank you! to you all and we named our baby girl born in July- Juliana😊

Debby08 · 30/11/2017 23:19

I prefer Julianna because it's simple and not confusing when it comes to spelling. But I suggest have a middle name like Rose or Reese :)

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 30/11/2017 23:33

Also prefer Julia/Juliet.
