My sister is Stevie (aged 31) named after Stevie Nicks. She hated it when younger and even though she came to like it as she got older, she does get Mr Stevie Surname a lot.

Frankie

I put it in my list but OH doesn't like it.. 😥

Jooni · 06/05/2017 20:07

Frankie

ChippersAndRunt · 06/05/2017 20:09

I prefer Francesca or Susannah...

But Frankie and Susie are both really nice.

ImperialBlether · 06/05/2017 20:12

Frankie's great, but it would have to be Francesca on the birth certificate. Stevie's great, too, but isn't really a nickname for Stephanie.

Mummamayhem · 06/05/2017 20:17

Susie is great but also really like stevie.

Dislike frankie for a girl

Nonsense that you need a longer name and use a nickname, there aren't any rules!

Rockaby · 06/05/2017 20:19

Susie

Susie.

HilariousGuitar · 06/05/2017 20:30

My order of preference is:
Stevie
Frankie
Susie

I like them all!

Mrsknackered · 06/05/2017 22:55

Frankie. Love it!

Crabbo · 06/05/2017 22:59

Love Frankie, not so keen on the others. Have never understood the 'you must use a full name on the bc' thing, they all sound like legit names to me.

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 06/05/2017 23:01

I love Frankie.

MuseumGardens · 06/05/2017 23:02

I really like Frankie and Susie.
Susie would be my top choice.

tulipsjoy · 06/05/2017 23:13

i love stevie, like stevie nicks !

BikeRunSki · 06/05/2017 23:20

Love Stevie as a nn for Stephanie. I wanted it for DD but DH didn't like it.

Susie/Suzie is fine
Frankie is ok, Francesca is lovely.
Stevie - no, just no. I would assume either you were a massive F Mac fan or wanted a boy. Neither is a good enough reason to give a girl a boys name.

ENFJ · 06/05/2017 23:33

Susie

Dislike Frankie and Francesca
Stephanie is lovely but Stevie isn't

Sophronia · 06/05/2017 23:58

Susannah nn Susie

ArthurDentsTowel · 07/05/2017 00:20

We have a Frankie - name on birth certificate is Frances. Love it and it suits her down to the ground. Stevie was on my list too, but couldn't think of an 'official' name I liked to go with it, and felt she needed it with a more masculine-sounding name.

Pemba · 08/05/2017 09:01

Susanna(ah) - best name ever - gorgeous!
Francesca - lovely
Stephanie - nice, but you will get some people saying it's dated

I like them in that order, but I do think you should put a full name on the birth certificate. Nicknames can be chosen later, and it will give her more options to have a more grown up and serious name.

ColourfulOrangex · 08/05/2017 09:39

Frankie

DaisyChainsForever · 08/05/2017 09:51

I like Susie. Nothing wrong with shortened names, especially if you have no intention of ever referring to the longer version.

Moresaltedcaramel · 08/05/2017 09:58

Stevie Nicks is her nickname. Her full name is Stephanie.
I like Francesca.
