Her full name will be Gracia Promise. Do you like Gracia? Her siblings are Leila, Liam, Aria and Alessia. General opinions on Gracia. Pronounced grah-sea-uh.

People will think she's called Thank You.

AdinaMenzel · 01/05/2017 13:16

Sorry, I appear to have made a mistake in my op, she is Gray-see-uh.

Agreed with Squoosh. Too close to Grazia and people will constrantly mispronounce it.

Sunshineandlaughter · 01/05/2017 14:32

I thought grazia like the magazine

Graycia ?

midsomermurderess · 01/05/2017 15:05

It is also quite close to the Spanish word for 'fat'.

MummyPenguin2 · 01/05/2017 15:08

I thought of the magazine too. Sorry, I'm not a fan. Is Promise the middle name or your surname (daft question I know)?

neonrainbow · 01/05/2017 15:11

The sound of it goes well with the other dc names but i don't think it makes a good name.

Sunshineandlaughter · 01/05/2017 15:15

Marcia?
Zara?

crazymissdaisy · 01/05/2017 15:15

What about Gracie? That's lovely!

Twinkie1 · 01/05/2017 15:28

I immediately thought Thank You

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 01/05/2017 19:30

Hi OP, how about Grania, it means love.

LockedOutOfMN · 01/05/2017 19:36

Gracia is a Spanish word. To be 'sin gracia' is a criticism meaning to be shameless (rough translation...it's one of those words that doesn't have a direct counterpart in English) and for person or thing to be gracioso/graciosa, the adjective, is to be funny as in comical, amusing.

Gracias (pronounced Grah thee ass in most of Spain and Grah see ass, very similar to the OP's suggested name, is the most popular pronunciation in Andalusia and central and south America).

In the U.K. I think it's reasonable to assume that Gracia will be confused with gracias or Grazia.

How about Graciela?

MaryWortleyMontagu · 01/05/2017 19:44

I know a little girl called gracia and it's a lovely name.

Lilly16 · 01/05/2017 20:49

I like Gracie but not so much Gracia.

PodgeBod · 01/05/2017 22:46

I pronounced it like the magazine and I thought "why would you name a baby thank you?".

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 02/05/2017 00:32

Never heard it before. Its gorgeous.
Not sure about Promise as a mn though. Not because it's 'out there, but To me, Gray-see-a promise sounds like Make me a promise

MrsTerryPratchett · 02/05/2017 01:24

'Thank you promise' to me, sorry. I'm not wildly keen on character traits as names and Promise is a little close to that for my liking.

WildCherryBlossom · 02/05/2017 04:34

I came on to suggest Graciela but see LockedOut beat me to it.

SuperBeagle · 02/05/2017 06:59

It'll be butchered. You'll get Grah-see-ah, Gray-see-ah, or Gray-sha. It's a bit like Lucia in that sense.

I don't like it. Grace is lovely. Gracie, even. But Gracia is not.

GinIsIn · 02/05/2017 07:10

It really doesn't work - is Promise your surname or is that what you're thinking for middle name? I would avoid anything that can be considered an atribute or an adjective.

ChippersAndRunt · 05/05/2017 23:41

It's quite nice imo :)!

But I do prefer Graziella. And Gabriella. What about Greta?
