Does anyone know a Welsh or Celtic version of the name Roger or Christopher? Or that means 'son of Christopher'. Both are family names but I don't like the original enough to use them so looking for another form Smile

Not an expert as such, but know a fair few Welsh names... And don't know any direct translation, I'm afraid.

Very tenuous link from Gerallt to Roger... More in the meaning than anything else. Gerallt means 'ruler of the spear', Roger means 'renowned spear' apparently!!

The Cornish name Kitto is apparently a diminutive of Christopher (and a Celtic nation name).

Also, I think I've read that the Breton version is Kristof, but would have to check!

Críostóir is Irish for Christopher.

Thanks Dixiestamp! Kitto sounds pretty cool!

Thanks KeiraKnighrlyActs, that's gorgeous! How do you pronounce?
