I like Cicely (after Cicely, Alaska) but not Cecily - would it just be a pain in the bum / spelling chore for a DD?

I love Cicely! One of my favourites. I suspect you would have to correct from Cecily/Sicily quite a lot though, yes.

I think it's lovely and I can't imagine why anyone would assume it's Sicily. Cicely is a perfectly good, traditional name in its own right. It was my gran's middle name and I've always liked it.
