Aedan or Ardan for our 3 day old baby boy?

Our baby boy is 3 days old. Should we go for Aedan or Ardan? thanks!

Ardal is a cracking name. As we're stopping at our 2 DDs I'm sad I'll never get to pick an awesome Irish boy's name for a baby. Maybe I need a dog...

I've only heard Arden for a female. Aedan - is that a traditional spelling?

I like Arden, but prefer it for a girl (and prefer this spelling, as in Elizabeth Arden).

How about Auden? I went to school with an Auden. Cool name, very unusual too.

I don't like either and would go for Aidan, but of the two I would say Aedan as Ardan sounds a bit close to 'ard on (eek).

Haven't heard the Irish name Ardal before, but if you live in Wales perhaps not this either as it's the Welsh word for 'area' and is on lots of public signage, etc. To me seeing that written as a name looks very odd!

Swedish, Aedan is a traditional spelling, possibly in Old Irish? (although I think it was actually Áedán). It is not commonly used, although I do know one little Aedan.

Adean... There are so many little Aiden/Aidans. And Aydens, Aydun etc.
Adean is lovely, but there are so many ways to misspell this...
