We are so stuck! We both like Scarlet (spelt like the colour, but 1. People will spell it Scarlett (we aren't keen on this spelling!) 2. Her surname is double-barrelled (one of the names is an s, so I'm not keen on that...))

she's 5 weeks on Monday.

Go with scarlet - it's obviously the name you like!

We would you for Scarlet but I can't stand the fact she would be S S-J. I really can't get over that thanks for all the great names to look through!

Then I think charlotte a good suggestion as sounds so similar.

A wee warning: Scarlet is slang for "embarrassed" in Ireland (well Dublin anyway...)

Can you tell us the S part of the last name? I have an alliterative name and don't think it sounds odd. I like the name Scarlet and prefer your spelling too. I think if you don't use it you'll regret it as it's obviously the name you feel most drawn to.

My favourite name is Chloe, but my DDs are Emilia and Lily Rose.
