Which name do you prefer for our little newborn? Thank you.

Aiden, definitely

BounceBounceSplishSplash · 16/04/2017 13:40

Aidan

Bubblesblue · 16/04/2017 13:41

Not helpful, but I think they're both lovely

JunosRevenge · 16/04/2017 13:42

Those are my DN's names. I think they're lovely!

HandyManJack · 16/04/2017 13:42

Where - definitely not Aiden!

Aidan

Not a lot of love for Conor! Why's that? Smile

Not keen on either. I like Adrian though!

Skyllo30 · 16/04/2017 13:53

I like both - are you Irish OP? Aidan is more common outside of Ireland than Conor/Connor.

My cousin in his mid-30s is Conor as are 4 of his close friends. 😧 I don't think it's quite so popular these days.

plutohasfeelingstoo · 16/04/2017 13:55

Love them both. I'd lean towards Conor

MiriAmmerman · 16/04/2017 13:57

Like them both - would probably go for Aidan though. I only know one adult Conor (spelled like that) and it is a beautiful name. However, if you're asking why people are going for Aidan in preference, I think it's because Connor (with that spelling) has a bit of a reputation as a "naughty boy" name daren't even whisper the ch word, in my area at least. I think Aidan is perhaps a more unusual choice.

Sophronia · 16/04/2017 15:08

Conor

My ten month old DS is Conor and I absolutely love the name! Disappointed to see such little love for it :-(
My husband is Irish although we live in England and we wanted a name that leaned towards Irish but was easy to spell.

Clickncollect · 16/04/2017 15:17

Actually just re-read the thread and there is a decent amount of love, to be fair. All is forgiven !!

mum2be2boys · 16/04/2017 16:15

Prefer Conor :-)

SumAndSubstance · 16/04/2017 17:00

Aidan is more common outside of Ireland than Conor/Connor.
I've actually come across far more English Conor/Connors than Aidans.

ChippieFishieHorshie · 16/04/2017 17:48

I really like Conor.

I'm not keen on Aidan. I've heard so many people mangle it...

Conor is lovely imo :)!

ColourfulOrangex · 16/04/2017 19:06

Aidan :)

ColourfulOrangex · 16/04/2017 19:06

Oh and congratulations OP Flowers

DramaAlpaca · 16/04/2017 21:42

I really like both and I'm glad you'd go for the correct spellings.

If I absolutely had to choose, I'd pick Conor.

RicketyCricket · 16/04/2017 21:46

I would go for Aidan.

I like Conor but really don't like how it sounds when said with an English accent. Irrational I know.

Ragdoll545 · 16/04/2017 21:56

Definitely Conor - and it's definitely not a naughty boy chav name either as a previous poster suggested
