And does Mia work as a nn for both?
Thanks

Oh ok. I'd have thought Em or Milly/Mils more likely.

mike depends on your accent/language, I suppose. My first language isn't English and the Lias I've known weren't English either, tbh.

E-mee-lee-uh or E-mee-ly-uh, that's what I'd say (unless I were to try [and fail...] pronouncing it in a somewhat English accent)

SuperBeagle · 14/04/2017 21:16

Mike Emilia has four syllables: em-ee-lee-uh.

Op, I prefer Emilia but I'm biased. Mia won't stick as a nickname for either, but especially not for Emily. Go with Mia if that's what you want her to be called.

I personally love Emilia..one of my favourites and would've gone for it if DP hadn't vetoed

emilybrontescorset · 15/04/2017 11:18

Mia is a name by itself so call her that if that's what she will be known as.

Buttercupsandaisies · 15/04/2017 11:29

Mia is not a nn for either of those names - like calling a child Louise and using the nickname lea!

mum2be2boys · 15/04/2017 11:49

I prefer Emily out of the two.

Mia is a pretty name too, but I don't think it's a natural nickname for either Emily or Emilia.

The name Mia always makes me think of the character in Love Actually though!
