Baby number 4, we have plenty of time till he/she arrives but finding it hard to even think about how to choose a name. Siblings names end in n, ph, n so to try and make it sound even we thought oh maybe go for another ph or f ending. Can anyone help suggest anything? Or tell me this is a stupid way to choose?

Yes to Dolf, Rafe, Wolf. For some reason Nina leapt out at me when I saw your dcs' names.

Stefan/Stephanie

Stef/Steph for short either way.

Works on all levels!

Sophronia · 13/04/2017 00:04

I like Zeph short for Zephaniah! I don't think it sounds too crazy.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 13/04/2017 00:10

Asaph.

St Asaph is a welsh saint.

Can't believe no one has suggested Geoff yet.

BroomstickOfLove · 13/04/2017 01:13

I can't think of any sensible ones for a girl.

Seraph
Elf
Piaf
Waif
Fief
Leaf

Bloomed · 13/04/2017 01:24

Zeph is cool.

Elif is a good girl's name.

jamie2 · 13/04/2017 01:37

please not adolf

SuperBeagle · 13/04/2017 02:02

Natalie Portman has a son called Aleph. I think that's quite cool.

Oddsocksforeveryone · 13/04/2017 06:09

This has been really interesting.

Several of the suggestions have been ones I liked but thought might be too unusual, and several have been close family members names! Plus my best friend and one name very close to mine (most of which don't end in f/ph)
Thank you everyone :)

@Jamie don't worry I won't be using Adolf, d's 1&2 are from previous relationship and are actually partly German with a German surname so aside from the obvious negative vibes that follow that name it would look weird. Plus I'm not a fan of it.

I do quite like Delyth though, but we're not Welsh so I don't know if we could pull it off. I knew a lovely little girl with that name.

Biff or Cliff?

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 13/04/2017 13:25

If you go for Biff, everyone will be looking for her siblings Chip and Kipper! Grin

Oddsocksforeveryone · 13/04/2017 16:59

Tanith is one I've never heard before I like that, Tabitha is nice too I think

Your name choosing system is bonkers.

kittybiscuits · 13/04/2017 17:06

Morph. For a boy or girl.

Oddsocksforeveryone · 13/04/2017 19:02

Yeah the system is bonkers. I think i was having one of those days.

How about Zack? Short for Zachary.

Zephenie for a girl?

I'm discussing all these with my husband of course, probably going to make a short list.

My 7 year old has offered up Christian for a boy and Starly for a girl.
Joseph thinks we should call him/her Joseph so no help there.

Haf is a Welsh girl's name, meaning 'summer', but the f is pronounced as a v so I'm not sure it would fit in really! It's a pretty name though, said more like 'Haav'
