My cousin has this name. It's a good strong name and culturally fitting for us. Do you like the name? And if you do, then pick it.
The Zion I know is extremely clever and won't let anyone stand in his way. He's 8 and is already formidable. I like to think we're like our names.

It's a name with a lot of cultural connotations op, and you should be aware of them if you want to use it...

I love it and know a few lovely Zion's, I really wanted it for DC1's name after the Damian Marley and Lauren Hill song.
Chose against it because it is quite political.

I know how its pronounced and that its biblical but its in the same vein as Elijah, ezekiel to me.

Nope, the political connotations are insurmountable IMO.

It's a bit Jewish/Reggae for me.

I like the sound of the name, but the political connotations attached to it put it in the no category for me.
