We are really struggling for boys names but have plenty girls names.

Opinions on the name Archer for a baby boy - what do you think?

Love it !! But hate Archie

Sorry, don't like it. He will get teased, kids will ask him if he is an Archer.

The song Robin hood, Robin Hood, riding through the glen......Comes to mind...

I like it, and I know of one. When I told the mum how much I liked the name she said she regretted not just calling him Archie as that's what he gets called - people mishear/mispronounce it a lot. Can be down to local accents.

I have an Archie which is very disliked on MN at the moment and also like Archer, I know one and as far as I know, has no trouble with people mistaking him for an Archie

I prefer just Archie or even Archibald

I love Archer the animated show! Lol!!

Ok it sounds like it is quite a marmite name with people either loving it or hating it. I guess a lot of names are like that, and there isn't a name that everyone loves. Plenty of people seem to like it tho. I think we will add it to our short list :)

Love it! Our son is called Archer. I think it's a gorgeous name. It's a family name (obviously). No one has sung the Robin Hood theme tune to him yet, but then he is only four.
