2 syllables in forename does work better, but both are good names.

Both are nice but Cameron is just too much associated with David Cameron now and that ain't a good thing

I'd not associate Cameron with David Cameron at all, probably because I'm in Scotland and it's a popular first name and has been for many years so I associate it with the Camerons I know rather than DC.

Ciaran means the little dark one - I have a Ciar instead as he wasn't and isn't little. We have that name as when it came to the last two names on our list, DH wanted Ciaran and I wanted Keir. We compromised.

Kieran - but prefer the Ciaran spelling.

Cameron is nice too though.

I like Ciaran better than Kieran. Cameron is a bit too prime ministery.
