Thoughts on the name Giovanna?

Gia for short as I think it's bit long to say every time

(Or Julianna)

Love it. DD's friend is Giovanna. She is blonde and very fair-skinned (although I think her family do have italian heritage somewhere). She is certainly giving her mother a run for her money in the teen years :). her family call her G (Gee).

The only Giovanna I can think of is Giovanna Fletcher formerly Falcone. She is known as 'Gi' for short.

It's a perfectly ok name IMO.
