You don't say if you are a Muslim, Hindu, Jain or Sikh Indian, and whether it's important to you to have a Sanskrit or regional name. That will definitely have implications for your choice.
If you live in the UK, some really pretty names (Sheetala, Aditi, Radhika) will be ruined by English pronunciation.
My DH is English so DD's name being mellifluous (if not, strictly speaking, 'correct') in his pronunciation was important to us. My mother chose DD's name as she's a very typical Indian Mama
but here are some of the other ones we had on the list:
Kalyani
Shivani
Shivali
Surekha
Urmila
Anshula
Avinashika
Indrani
Sharmila
Vishala
Names such as Priya and Jaya are the modern (and, if these things are important to you, slightly non-U!) variants of the more traditional Priyanka and Jayalakshmi.
