Names and (mis)behaviour

In my experience I have found certain names reoccur when it comes to negative behaviour in school, especially with boys. Not sure I should blunder in and upset new mums, so I'll settle for outing the common names for naughty lads back in my day. Stephens were usually the worst, but Davids came close.

Ryan's been consistently in the top 100 for over 20 years (top 10/50 for some of that time).

Reuset as I said 'completely irrelevant'. I could also cite that at least 2 girls named 'Grace' have worn acrylic nails this week and that 'Jasmine's are particularly good at practical skills this year.

But you didn't mention children with acrylic nails, you cited children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEN). That's not what the OP asked for to be fair. Doesn't sit well with me, but if you think it's irrelevant...

I've found J name boys have been 'naughtier' if you want to call in that, Of those I've taught but as others have said, don't think it's a causation thing where a certain name means a child will be more challenging. There is also one not massively common (not beginning with J) name shared by 2 of my most challenging ever pupils, and variations of that name have all also been more difficult. So yes, I'd be put off using those names but just because of my own associations, not because I think that giving that name would mean my child would be more likely to be naughty.

Also, my favourite boys name I'd have loved to use if I had a son, never taught one who wasn't a little so and so, which means I'd be unlikely to choose the name now, but I'm sure there are many many well behaved delightful children with this name (William), in fact outside of teaching I know two such boys.

Johns were usually nice quiet boys

I taught a Jayden who could read in Nursery, and looked like a teddy bear to boot, and when I taught him again later, he was still a clever, caring, resilient delight.

Any naughty girls names or is this a bash the naughty boys thread?
Why just boys names?
