Heard this recently and thought it sounded nice. Unusual but not too out there! What do you think?

Short for something? I've never heard of it.

justdontevenfuckingstart · 11/02/2017 19:11

It's awful, sorry. It says you are the sibling and we couldn't be bothered to think of a name. You are first born's sibling. BUT that is only my opinion Smile

DearMrDilkington · 11/02/2017 19:12

Not a fan, sorry. Sounds like a 'cutesy' name for sibling.

Loyly · 11/02/2017 19:12

I don't like it at all, sorry OP.

gruber · 11/02/2017 19:13

Um, no. Sounds like sibling. Just no.

frogmellla · 11/02/2017 19:14

It's a surname

MrsTerryPratchett · 11/02/2017 19:14

It would be fairly obvious you weren't the PFB!

RortyCrankle · 11/02/2017 19:19

Totally out there- horrible.

greenfolder · 11/02/2017 19:31

Its a surname. I know several local families with it (bedfordshire). Cant think why youd use it as a first name unless it meant something to you?

reuset · 11/02/2017 19:43

Did you mean Sibyl, or Sybil?

Sibley is not good as a first name.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 11/02/2017 19:48

No, just no, sorry.

yellowbirdie · 11/02/2017 20:27

Is it for a boy or girl?

Sounds like dribbly. Not keen sorry.

For a girl try Sybella or Sybilla nn Sybbie. Much better IMO.

Elbi · 11/02/2017 20:30

Oh, I quite liked the sound of it until someone mentioned the sibling thing

BackforGood · 11/02/2017 20:45

Another who doesn't like it.

JanuaryJuniper · 11/02/2017 21:00

Ok ok you have totally put ne off, consider it off the list!!

Dontrocktheboat · 11/02/2017 22:42

I think it sounds a bit lispy, sorry (maybe reminds me of sibilant - or Thisbe who is one of the ugly sisters in some versions of Cinderella).

HoratioNightboy · 11/02/2017 22:47

I quite like it, it's very similar to Sibla, the old Scots form of Sybil which was often pronounced and spelled as Siblie. I can understand that it's not to everyone's taste though.

Aquamarine1029 · 12/02/2017 01:12

Oh god, it's horrible.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 12/02/2017 11:07

Aww, never mind January, do you have anymore names lined up ?
Go on, I dare you ! 😂💐

CaoNiMa · 12/02/2017 11:53

I really like it! Puts me in mind of a 1920s Manhattan socialite.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 12/02/2017 11:56

It's a surname. In the town where I live it's the surname of quite a notorious family (in a bad way).

I can't imagine anyone very local to me using it as a first name Wink.

Even if you take that local element away, I don't think it really sounds like a first name anyway TBH.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 12/02/2017 12:17

How about Sidney ?

MrsMeeseeks · 12/02/2017 13:12

It sounds like a toddler struggling to say Sidney.
