I like it but David........

Justmuddlingalong · 26/01/2017 20:29

Love it. I have a grown up one. No one has ever mentioned David Cameron IRL.

Sophronia · 26/01/2017 21:35

Not keen

cholla · 26/01/2017 22:02

Love love love! Would've had our own Cameron but have a close friend called Cameron unfortunately!

MikeUniformMike · 26/01/2017 22:21

Hugely popular in Scotland. It will be Cam.

Pipilangstrumpf · 26/01/2017 22:23

I like it.

GrumpySausage · 26/01/2017 22:37

I have one, nearly 2.

Love it. Obviously. He tends to go by Cam. I don't know any others his age.

I'm thinking of calling my next DD May 😉

GrumpySausage · 26/01/2017 22:38

And yes like a previous PP, apart from the week he was born (election week) no one has ever mentioned the politics link.

Cosmicglitterpug · 26/01/2017 22:40

It's on of the few surnames/names I like. A good name.

Chunder · 26/01/2017 23:02

I like it. I never even think of David Cameron when I hear it.

5OBalesofHay · 26/01/2017 23:04

Have a 17 year old one. Still love it.

MrsBungle · 26/01/2017 23:07

I have a Cameron - Cam. He's 4. Still love it.

Nospringflower · 26/01/2017 23:11

Like it - but Scottish disclaimer!

Rainatnight · 26/01/2017 23:13

I thought of David. Sorry...

declansyellowsocks · 27/01/2017 08:36

Love it. As someone else said upthread, it's one of the few surname/first names that I really like (some of the other Scottish ones are nice too).

DH ruled it out for DS because of David, but most people don't seem to make the association - the next generation of schoolchildren will probably not think of David Cameron at all.

goldenrachita · 27/01/2017 09:48

I'd consider it a surname and I don't personally like the use of surnames as names but that's just me. In terms of the sound of the name, it's pleasant and inoffensive. I think it works well if you are Scottish. I wouldn't make the association with the former PM and that will only fade over time anyway. He's not as memorable as, say Thatcher! ;)

BridgetDarcy · 27/01/2017 10:40

Lovely.

likeacrow · 27/01/2017 13:37

Instantly think of David Cameron.
