I'm a Springsteen fan but I would probably go for it as a middle name for my own baby.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 24/01/2017 17:37

Cool !

AuntieStella · 24/01/2017 17:40

Very Aussie (I hope you don't already have a Sheila)

Or Forsythe, but he's legend in his way

ChocoChou · 24/01/2017 17:53

Not to my taste...

mrssmith79 · 24/01/2017 17:58

I like it. It's more a man's name than a baby name iyswim but let's face it, he'll be a man for an awful lot longer than he'll be a baby Grin

Ilovecaindingle · 24/01/2017 17:58

Bogtrotter - currently watching Matilda.

Love Bruce Springsteen tho so def!!

electrasy · 24/01/2017 18:44

I think it sounds Scottish rather than Aussie. Not sure I would use it, but seen much worse on here. Easy to say and spell which is always good.

Heratnumber7 · 24/01/2017 18:49

He will have a lifetime of people wishing him G'day. Would be very irksome.

CaptinMuma · 24/01/2017 18:50

Im all for super hero's names Wink (hulk and batman Shock )

LadyMaryofDownt0n · 24/01/2017 18:51

God where did that come from? It's an odd choice.

BastardBernie · 24/01/2017 18:52

For a French mastiff imo

ClaryIsTheBest · 24/01/2017 19:13

Caitlyn Jenner

Jiffybag · 24/01/2017 19:30

Aussie or middle-aged. Not my cup of tea.

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 24/01/2017 20:25

Bruce, throw a shrimp on the barbie you flamin' gallah!

CaoNiMa · 24/01/2017 21:49

Reminds me of Bruce Patman from Sweet Valley High - the rich jock!

Joeybee · 24/01/2017 22:13

I really like Bruce. It's a bit of an old-man name, but I think it works well on a baby, in-fact I think it's really cute, and will grow with the child. Only thing is that there aren't any nicknames for it.

Raines100 · 25/01/2017 06:19

Cool!

Kirstyinnorway · 25/01/2017 06:23

Wayne/Springsteen/Forsythe/Willis... nope, sorry - too many celebrity connotations for me!

littlejeopardy · 25/01/2017 06:28

Never considered it before but I really like it! It's rare without sounding like a made up name. I think it'd be cute on a little baby boy!

TronaldDump · 25/01/2017 06:42

I suggested Bruce and DH shot me down. I liked Arnold too. I think they're quite forward thinking names and don't fit with the current 'Granny chic' trend for Mabels and Alberts etc. Give it 10 years and people will be more open to names like this. Right now I think it's really cool!

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 25/01/2017 07:08

I'm not keen at all, sorry!

I do think what tronald says is v interesting though, about where the next wave of baby names will go (and I speak as an adopter of the popular granny chic)

megletthesecond · 25/01/2017 07:13

I like it. A baby will grow into it.

Teaholic · 25/01/2017 07:15

I love it, really cool. I like names like Mabel and Hazel and Edith so why not.

I like Arnaud too.

blueskyinmarch · 25/01/2017 07:21

I like it but i live in Scotland where it is a fairly common name. I have a lovely uncle and a cousin both called Bruce. I don’t associate it with Australia at all.

VivienneWestwoodsKnickers · 25/01/2017 07:36

Finding Nemo Aussie shark. Breewwwwwce.
