Opinions on Bruce?

I'm a Springsteen fan but I would probably go for it as a middle name for my own baby.

I like it. It's more a man's name than a baby name iyswim but let's face it, he'll be a man for an awful lot longer than he'll be a baby

I think it sounds Scottish rather than Aussie. Not sure I would use it, but seen much worse on here. Easy to say and spell which is always good.

He will have a lifetime of people wishing him G'day. Would be very irksome.

I really like Bruce. It's a bit of an old-man name, but I think it works well on a baby, in-fact I think it's really cute, and will grow with the child. Only thing is that there aren't any nicknames for it.

Never considered it before but I really like it! It's rare without sounding like a made up name. I think it'd be cute on a little baby boy!

I suggested Bruce and DH shot me down. I liked Arnold too. I think they're quite forward thinking names and don't fit with the current 'Granny chic' trend for Mabels and Alberts etc. Give it 10 years and people will be more open to names like this. Right now I think it's really cool!

I like it but i live in Scotland where it is a fairly common name. I have a lovely uncle and a cousin both called Bruce. I don’t associate it with Australia at all.
