Winter

Would it be odd to call a baby Winter if it was born October/November - and therefore would Autumn be better? However I much prefer Winter?

I don't think it's odd, it's a lovely name, and Winnie or Win are great nicknames.

Thanks, just wondered if people might question why if they're not born actually in Winter did you just that!

It's fine OP.

If Game of Thrones is still big by the time she's toddling, she may hear "Winter is coming" every time she appears... Wink

Seriously, though, I like it. And don't think it matters about needing it to reflect her actual birthdate. I know a small "Summer", born mid-October.

MrsMeeseeks · 22/01/2017 18:07

It's no worse than Summer-born Carols or a December-born June, IMO.

Winter is a lovely name, and I always think with seasonal/month names that it's actually better if they're not born then. Feels a bit twee otherwise to me.

Interesting jooni, hadn't thought of it like thatSmile

can you picture a grown man called winter? it would be sort of embarassing to him wouldn't it?

It's a girls name? Hmm
