Our first choice boys name is now off the cards - can't think of back up !

Our first choice was Arthur.
I didn't think it was that popular but both my sister and SIL are due before me.
SIL gave birth over Christmas and named hers Arthur and have just found out that sisters first choice is Arthur too 😂

So we need a backup and we just can't think of any.

Both DP and I previously liked Magnus and also Henry but we have reservations on both of those.

Please help!

Luther was a quite horrible man, tbh.

What about Ludovicus nn Ludo?

Oh dear, Horatio, I was unaware. 😊 Thank you

😊 but on the other hand, I personally really like the name Julius. It isn't like Julius Caesar was all about puppies and rainbows. So, I'm probably being precious 🙊

Horatio, my late Fathers dear friend was called Julius, a lovely golf buddy, with a fabby name !

Would have loved this for either of my 2 DS's

Don't see any reason why you can't still use Arthur.

Arthur Henry.

Known as Harry.

Stalingrad · 29/12/2016 21:33

We have Arthur on our list. We already have a Wilfren nn Freddie. Freddie was nearly a George.

On our list alongside Arthur this time are:
Ernest (Ernie)
Hector
Bertie (maybe Gilbert for full)
Franklin (Frank)
Rufus
Tobias

Shockers · 29/12/2016 21:38

Hector is my new favourite name!
