Pretty name or overused?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Classic and pretty. Less used round these parts than it was 10 years ago (I go by how many of my 30+ Brownies have the same name - haven't had a Charlotte in a good few years. We had 4 about 10 years ago).

Chottie · 07/12/2016 14:36

Very, very popular around here. I would personally go for a name which is a little less popular.

Gruffalosfriend · 07/12/2016 14:43

Both! Pretty but also very very popular. It may well start to sound dated as it falls out of favour again.

Gruffalosfriend · 07/12/2016 14:43

I would choose a less fashionable name personally.

Overused

AnnetteKertan · 07/12/2016 15:11

Dull

WarwickDavisAsPlates · 07/12/2016 15:19

Very pretty in my opinion.

It means "soul of an angel" according to a cup I once saw.

Sophronia · 07/12/2016 15:46

It means "man", from the Germanic name Carl/Karl.

"It means "soul of an angel" according to a cup I once saw." Xmas Hmm

cmxx · 07/12/2016 16:37

Pretty and classic, and TIMELESS. one that will live forever, similar to Alice :)

Pluto30 · 07/12/2016 19:37

Both.

It definitely means "man; warrior, army". It's the feminine form of Charles.

Anyway, I like Charlotte a lot, but it has lost some of its spark thanks to recent popularity. When my cousin was named Charlotte ten years ago, she was the only one I knew, but know I know countless Charlottes.

Love it, classic and timeless and I don't think will date like many other old fashioned names, and lots of nn potential

Kate Middleton had sort of ruined it, I think.

TheNaze73 · 07/12/2016 21:32

Beautiful name however, very popular. Not as much as say Amelia but, not unique

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 08/12/2016 20:19

Its both pretty and over used
