Hi,

We are looking for the perfect name. We think we have found it: Jae.

We are living in London, so need something that works here. Jae does :-)

What do you think of it?

Thank you very much,

Mrs Kim

If you know it works (whatever that really means) and you both like it, why would our opinions matter?

Sparklingbrook · 05/12/2016 14:57

I am not keen purely because nobody would ever think to spell it like that. If someone said the name I would automatically spell it Jay or think it was just a nickname of someone called a name beginning with the letter 'J'.

I am in Worcestershire though.

Because it's nice to see. All the posts on here are asking for opinions, so I thought I would :-)

Sorry I thought you were looking for a girls name

Jae for a boy is nice

Have you considered Sam? Is that Korean? A friend who is Korean has a boy called Sam so I assume that works also

Sophronia · 05/12/2016 15:19

I think it's fine

Joinourclub · 05/12/2016 15:28

Yes it works just fine in the uk. Ilike it. But if you live in London you don't have to worry too much about the name being 'English' enough. They are plenty of kids of Korean heritage with Korean names.

DramaAlpaca · 05/12/2016 15:31

It's nice, but tbh I would have assumed it was a girls' name.

As long as you & your DH like it, that's really all that matters.

IJustWantABrew · 05/12/2016 15:40

My boys called Jay :) I always get asked if it's spelt your way. Didn't even realise it could be.

I think it's a good name and it's not very popular which I like :)

KylieJo · 05/12/2016 16:03

I think it is practical and a good name overall.
