Daphne is my favourite.

CoffeeChocolateWine · 24/11/2016 23:29

Serena is lovely.
I have an irrational aversion to the name Daphne. Very dated and should never come back.
Annora/Honora - never heard of this name but it does not sound at all nice to me. I hear it and I think of gonorrhoea which is never a good thing.

BadToTheBone · 24/11/2016 23:40

The order you have them in your op!

user1470686892 · 24/11/2016 23:42

OP, if you love Daphne please use it or you may regret it. I've realised you just need to go with the name you love.

When I was pregnant with my DS I was told my choice was 'old fashioned', the alternatives suggested were Grant and Clay.

I stuck to my guns and still love it now, even though it became popular.

When was the last time you saw Grant on here?

QueenOfTheNaps · 24/11/2016 23:42

I like Serena, but I love Seren.

Daphne is too old-fashioned for my taste.

I like Honora though.. oooh good luck

srslylikeomg · 24/11/2016 23:44

Daphne is a beautiful name

Musiclife · 25/11/2016 06:13

Another vote for Serena.

Allalonenow · 25/11/2016 23:57

Serena!

trufflepiggy · 26/11/2016 02:05

Serena by a mile
Daphne
Honora

trufflepiggy · 26/11/2016 02:07

Annora makes me think aneurism for some reason

ChristmasSeacow · 26/11/2016 04:24

I love Daphne (wonderful aunt of that name) and knew an annoying serena, so that puts me off that.

Agree with a pp, go with the name you like best on gut feel! All names are marmite if you ask a range of people and so I'd ignore what everyone else thinks.

Jabuticaba · 26/11/2016 04:29

Serena is nice

Daphne would be nice but Neighbours ruined it for me.

Honora/Annora sounds Harry Potterish.

ChittyBB · 26/11/2016 10:01

Daphne

dotdotdotmustdash · 26/11/2016 11:07

Seren or Honor. Please let Daphne fall off the bottom of your list, it's vile.

FlappyRose · 26/11/2016 11:12

Daphne reminds me of the old lady from Eggheads.

Serena is a beautiful name though.

AtSea1979 · 26/11/2016 11:13

Don't like any sorry but if I had to choose then Serena

RepentAtLeisure · 26/11/2016 11:31

My favourite is Daphne, but then my all time favourite girls name is Brenda, so I feel I may not have the best taste...

Honora/Annora initially look confusing to my eyes. Would you consider Honor or Aurora?

Cosmicglitterghoul · 26/11/2016 11:33

Daphne

BellsaRinging · 26/11/2016 11:48

Serena is lovely. Like the others too though, just not as much.

Elbi · 26/11/2016 12:38

Serena is nice :)

Sorry for always popping up on threads with the Cornish version of things but Enora means the same as Honora and is quite pretty I think.

SpunkyMummy · 27/11/2016 12:48

Oh wow, so many useful comments. Thank you :)

user Grant is actually really fabulous!!

Enora is lovely, thanks :)
Seren simply doesn't sound like a girl's name to me... maybe because it reminds me of Sören/Søren? It sounds like a really lovely boy's name imo.

Daphne seems to be either loved or hated. Interesting :)

I don't like Honor. Maybe as a middle name, but not a first... Aurora sounds beautiful and the meaning is lovely but it's just so princessy and 'cute'. I'm probably being ridiculous... 😖

It seems like we'll either have a little Serena or Daphne. Or a Frederick :)!

I love Daphne, it's so delicate and ethereal.

Serena is also a lovely name.

Anorra/Honora is a bit odd to my ears.

MollyHuaCha · 27/11/2016 22:44

Serena
