So baby no.3. Just confirmed as a girl, and we like Ripley- anyone got any thoughts, positive or negative?!

I like Ripley for a girl.

ShmooBooMoo · 13/10/2016 12:51

Dislike strongly, sorry.

maitaimojito · 13/10/2016 12:52

No, sorry.

It might get shortened to Rip which isn't a nice word.

Scribblegirl · 13/10/2016 13:02

My parents live near Ripley Grin

It's a no from me I'm afraid.

Iwasjustabouttosaythat · 13/10/2016 13:04

I considered this for my daughter, as in Ellen Ripley. DP said no. He wouldn't let me call her Furiosa either. Sad

BeastofCraggyIsland · 13/10/2016 17:23

Defintely Alien, 'Believe It or Not' or 'Talented Mr', none of which are great connotations for a child (or adult). It might be a cool name for a dog but not a person.

No.

sonlypuppyfat · 14/10/2016 18:56

Ripley wasn't even Ripleys first name

Boolovessulley · 14/10/2016 19:27
