Frank or Francis?

Imo they are completely different names. We have a Frank and love it, but can't bare Francis.

So I choose Frank.

My BF's DS is Francis which I must admit, I don't love, but universally known as Frankie.

What about Franklin?

Our puppy (sorry about comparing a hairy baby with an actual baby!) is called Franklin but he gets Frank.

Francis. You can call him Frank or Frankie, but then he has the longer form if he ever wants to use that.

Just Frank.

I have a just Frank. Francis didn't appeal to us.

Detest Frankie and even more-so Franklin.

My brother is a Francis but everyone calls him Frank. My dm loves calling him Francis when he has done something wrong. The fact he is 54 doesn't seem to matter

We went for Francis (middle name) so he has a longer form and because it sounded better in combination with his other names. But regret not going witj Frank - he was named in honour of a Frank and I prefer the name.

What about Franklin? All of them are fine by me, btw, but some folk might assume you're catholic if Francis.

I like Franklin too, I have a family member with that name and have always liked it.

I like both Frank and Francis. It's a nice Catholic name (as opposed to an ugly Catholic name like Concepta or Ambrose).

Francis is on our final name list.. He'd b nicknamed frank. I agree with one of the previous posters who said they feel like vert different names. I also dislike Frankie for a boy for some reason.
The thing tht holds me back from Francis is the pronunciation, my sister in law (who is posher than me) insists it must be 'fraaaaRncis' as opposed to fran-cis which is how it comes more naturally to me !

Franco or frank

Francis known as Frank/Frankie - Frankie when little and still cute, Frank when great hulking teenager. My no longer little and cute, though still very lovely, great hulking teenage Frank is Francis on his birth certificate. He likes to use it sometimes in formal situations. He also gets called (among many other things) Franklin as an affectionate nickname.

Francis would be my preference over Frank.
Not a fan of frankie though.
