I love Edith Seren together would you consider using both together. They're both just so beautiful.

Congratulations Flowers btw!

Hulafox · 05/09/2016 22:25

Seren for me! I know old names are back in fashion but I find Edith too old lady still. Seren is a bit different. it might be misheard as Sarah though, but I don't think that should put you off.

Normandy144 · 05/09/2016 22:27

I think Seren is the better fit with your other children, but I'd wait and see until she's here. She doesn't need a name straight away so I wouldn't commit yourself now.

katemess12 · 05/09/2016 22:27

Love Edith.

Seren is okay, but reminds me of Soren, which is a masculine name.

Ringadingdingdong22 · 05/09/2016 22:29

Seren - it's a lovely name

KoalaDownUnder · 06/09/2016 12:28

Seren

squoosh · 06/09/2016 12:29

Seren.

Edith is a step too far for me in the old lady name stakes.

squoosh · 06/09/2016 12:29

I do like Edie though.

Spiderpigspiderpig · 06/09/2016 12:30

Seren is a very common name near where I used to live (gwynedd), but not in England.
Eira is a nice welsh one too.

OliviaStabler · 06/09/2016 12:31

Seren is great. Sorry but I don't like Edith at all.

Spiderpigspiderpig · 06/09/2016 12:31

You have to rrrrroll the r... Serrrrren for it to be pronounced properly

Only1scoop · 06/09/2016 12:33

Prefer Edith also love Enid

squoosh · 06/09/2016 12:36

Enid!?

Edith or Seren? Born in 6 days!
midsomermurderess · 06/09/2016 12:36

Edith here too but I am rather fond of Old English names.

Foxtato · 06/09/2016 12:36

Seren is nicer with your other children's names.

OvariesForgotHerPassword · 06/09/2016 12:38

Seren works better with your children's names.

Is Edith really back in fashion? Will Ethel and Enid be next?

minipie · 06/09/2016 12:58

Seren

I like Edie but not Edith (too old lady for me)

Other suggestions:

Sylvie
Mary
Freya
Lily

MBEB · 06/09/2016 13:02

Haha, Enid already is I believe?! Up there with Mabel Wink
I like Eira too, may have to spell her name in England all the time though.
I think it's going to be Seren thanks to you lovely ladies! We'll meet her first of course to make sure the name fits... However you do that with a newborn Smile
On to middle names....Hmm

Edith by a long way for me!

MrsCaecilius · 06/09/2016 13:22

Seren is lovely and goes with your other children's names whilst letting her have a different initial (Miss E ... - can be confusing).

I can only hear Edith as an old lady name (I had a great aunt Edith)

Oblomov16 · 06/09/2016 13:29

I don't like Edith. I think it's s very old fashioned and old name.

MitzyLeFrouf · 06/09/2016 13:32

I don't understand the love for Edith either. Although it's not quite as bad as Ethel though which is what Lily Allen called her daughter.

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 06/09/2016 15:44

I don't really understand the love for Seren Smile! It's just personal taste I guess.

If you're moving on to middle names, my Seren is Seren Rose.
