Kwame, and Keandre, I like.

The others seem challenging to me.

CancellyMcChequeface · 02/09/2016 21:56

I like Kwame.

Haven't heard of the others. Kaynard and Keandre sound made-up and I'd assume Kadema was a girl.

Buntysoven · 03/09/2016 01:32

Love how ignorant and pompous these pps are who, because they havent heard of a name, declare it made up! 😂

CheerfulYank · 03/09/2016 01:36

A friend of mine is Ghanaian and is Kofi because he was born on Friday. :)

I know a Kwante who is fantastic. He's ten and the nicest kid.

ToffeeForEveryone · 03/09/2016 01:43

Kwame :) Lovely name.

The only one I don't like is Keandre.

isitseptemberyet · 03/09/2016 13:28

they are all utterly horrendous !!

isit can I suggest you stick to your pretentious names thread? You're bringing nothing to other baby names thread apart from that snobbishness (second comment of yours like this I've read on baby names threads today).

Laniakea · 03/09/2016 13:44

Kwame is lovely, Kadema is nice too :)

MoosLikeJagger · 03/09/2016 13:51

If people think a name 'sounds made up', they might want to take all of three seconds to Google it.

I'm not a huge fan of Kaynard, but like the other three.

EnquiringMingeWantsToKnow · 03/09/2016 14:06

To be fair, if you take three seconds to google Kaynard you get pages of stuff like this
www.thefreedictionary.com/Kaynard saying it's an obsolete name for a rascal, and if you google "Kaynard boys name" then Google assumes you probably meant to type Maynard. It is genuinely obscure.

MrsGsnow18 · 03/09/2016 14:55

I've never seen any of these names before and I'm not sure how to pronounce any of them!

I'd maybe choose kaynard as it looks the less complicated to pronounce( I'm just guessing?)
Off for a Google now to get some pronouncation help!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 03/09/2016 15:01

Absolutely love Kwame! Ever since that actor Kwame from Holby City / Casualty did Celebrity Fame Academy (or similar) and was an amazing singer. Kwame all the way! Ace name.

Heratnumber7 · 03/09/2016 15:06

I think people who ask if other people like names should declare their heritage in their post.

Kwame is a perfectly acceptable Nigerian/Ghanian/... name, but a bit daft for a middle class white family living in Wiltshire.

SirChenjin · 03/09/2016 15:10

Agree Her

Kwame is my favourite - love the actor. The others sound made up and very Rooneyish are unfamiliar to my British ears.

BackforGood · 03/09/2016 15:13

I agree Heratnumber7

As an aside, in Ghana / Nigeria then, does that mean there are only 7 boys' names, (if there is one for each day) ? Doesn't that make life rather confusing? Blush Sorry if I'm being a bit slow

EnquiringMingeWantsToKnow · 03/09/2016 15:35

It's a bit more complicated than that Back en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akan_names.

BackforGood · 03/09/2016 16:22

Thanks Enquiring Smile

Loyly · 03/09/2016 16:24

Kwame

dogparkingbus4x4wanker · 03/09/2016 17:10

I love Kwame!

cheesydoesit · 03/09/2016 18:29

Keandre and Kwame are my two favourite.

Buntysoven · 04/09/2016 01:17

I love Kwame and also an ex's name Kwesi. Funny how you have to declare your heritage for some MN posters to approve of certain names. Lets all do it. Think about all those Madelines Amelies and Sylvies with no French blood. Shocking!

MuffyTheUmpireSlayer · 04/09/2016 01:22

I like Keandre and Kwame best (if he's born/was born on a Saturday, of course!)

And congratulations! Flowers

MuffyTheUmpireSlayer · 04/09/2016 01:24

And I agree bunty. I would love to get others opinions on some baby names but really can't be arsed to read all the "sounds made up" or "can't you spell it Xyz instead?" comments, so I'll just have to try and figure it out myself!

Nonameyet1 · 04/09/2016 09:50

I haven't heard of these names but I live in a very rural place so can't comment I'm afraid.
