Mmm, yes, I like it, a nice strong name.

LondonStill83 · 20/08/2016 22:57

I love it!

I am due in a few weeks and our current favourite is Elliot Jackson. Great minds!

BlueChampagne · 20/08/2016 23:01

I'd go for Aidan Elliott but I'm biased!

CheckpointCharlie2 · 20/08/2016 23:02

If I'd had a boy he'd have been Elliot or Jesse so I think it's perfect.

Raahh · 20/08/2016 23:05

Elliot is a great name biased and Aiden is a lovely middle name. so go for it.

am just relieved I didn't open this and then read....'for a girl Grin

MrsJacobs · 20/08/2016 23:07

Great! Smile

No, not for a girl Grin that would be horrendous, IMO.

Will people always spell it Elliott Aiden?

Grin

If they have any sense, they will spell it Elliot. Wink

To me, (and it's totally unfounded) I see Elliott as a surname. But over the years many have argued against this.

ayeokthen · 20/08/2016 23:09

Aidan being spelled Aiden is an ongoing issue for our family. It drives me crazy, but only when I've gently pointed out its aidAn a couple of times. Elliot Aidan is lovely.

Raahh · 20/08/2016 23:10

(but I have children with full names, (and shortenings) that can legitimately be spelled a number of ways, so I've got over the angst of the person who spelled it 'Eliyot').

Raahh · 20/08/2016 23:12

oops- sorry for spelling Aidan, Aiden !

DramaAlpaca · 21/08/2016 02:36

I like it, with that spelling. Very nice.

MrsGsnow18 · 21/08/2016 05:34

I like both names, think they go well together too.
I've never actually noticed how many ts are on the end of Elliot, how strange, now my brain can't even work out how many I would normally put!
Would spell Aidan even though I know an Ayden.

ButtMuncher · 21/08/2016 05:55

Love it - Elliot is our firm favourite too.

septembersunshine · 21/08/2016 07:12

I think it's a lovely name. I have a biased towards Aidan (for a first name since we are using it for our baby due next week!) but Elliot Aidan is a great combination. I love your traditional spelling of Aidan too :) I can't stand the 'den' ending!

LoraLoves · 21/08/2016 19:11

My son's middle name is Aiden and my older son's middle name was going to be Elliot but ended up being my Peyton. My DH is Aiden.

Olbersparadox · 22/08/2016 09:18

Aidan doesn't seem like a real name

TheFairyCaravan · 22/08/2016 09:21

I love Elliot -biased-- people usually ask "one or two t's"

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 22/08/2016 10:25

I'm not keen on Elliot (sorry), but I do like Aiden.

Pemba · 22/08/2016 16:03

The name Aidan has been around for ages. Isn't it Irish?

LucyLucyLou · 22/08/2016 16:13

Saint Aidan of Lindisfarne - Irish monk, 7th century.

buddy79 · 22/08/2016 21:36

This is so funny as I have an Elliot (love it!) and Aidan is top of my list of we had a second DS -- so yes I love them both and think they go really well together!

ayeokthen · 22/08/2016 23:28

Olbersparadox probably because of all the "new" names that sound like Aidan but aren't. I get it all the time with our Aidan.
