If you had a little boy tomorrow, what middle name would you give them?

As you're probably guessed, I'm stuck for middle names!

Same middle name as his dad I should of said

Definitely John. It's a good strong, masculine name.

Alexander - love the name but had a girl second time.

Lawrence Douglas, both names of my two dead great uncles.

A family name

They'll all have (Russian) DP's first name as a middle/patronymical, so no need to choose. Rather relieved as choosing the first name is hard enough.

Middle names are essential.
Everyone has that school playground conversation at some point, be very boring without one. My DS has his uncle's name as middle name. If I were to have another DS, which I won't, I'd use my late grandfather's name Ernest. Not James. Everyone has a relative with that middle name.

Carter

He would be named after FIL Bertram

William. Can't believe how many said the same!

My late grandads name that is love for a first name but now have a william for a step son so that's that plan ruined!

Scott Carlton would be the middle names. First name would be Griffin.

Scott is BIL name and Carlton is a family name which I love.

Both DS1 & 2 have two middle names.

Christopher or Alexander depending on the first name.

Gilbert or Montgomery

I would like to use my dad's name, but DH isn't so keen as it's a bit dated to modern ears. Grandfather's names have all been taken either by our DS's or other family boys of a similar age.

Christian. A family name.

Dane (my DB name and this will be our last)
DH wants Murphy (boy or girl(!) he is a movie buff, grrr)

It depends on your first name choice but I like a long middle with a short first! Alexander also sounds lovely.
