Forever - it's just as often MAR-sah-li, depending on where you come from. The 'sh' is a local variation. Perfectly valid, if that's what you prefer. Gaelic pronunciation is very variable.
I really like it, but - as I'm sure you know - it's not an ancient Scottish name, just the Gaelic version of Marjorie. (Which I also quite like, FWIW.)

My DDs name is here! We nearly called her Io (ey-oh) but thought she'd hate us when she was older, and would forever be spelling it or explaining pronunciation. It is her middle name though.

Others I like:

Lyra
Zola
Rosalind
Ida
Celeste
Another vote for Indigo too

Keep us posted OP!

Hey! I don't mind the name... Don't listen to all the haters, don't worry about them, name your child what you want! A good middle name could be Marie!

Eudoxia (Evdokia). Heard it once on a documentary to do with Russia and fell in love with it. Would be a lifetime of having to spell it and tell people how to pronounce it though.

SweetbutAPsycho · 17/01/2019 23:35

Shadow1234 · 18/01/2019 03:43

Not overly unusual, but I really love the names Romy and Estelle

Clara I always liked but I think it's becoming more popular now.
