Expecting DD2. DD1 is Rowan Rose and we are now struggling with names as we obviously used our best two names on DD1 GrinHmm

Finding it hard to agree but have narrowed it down to
Charlie Mae (I like that it's also a unisex name like Rowan)
Charlie Jennifer
Charlie Ann
Holly Mae (I like that it's also a tree)

(Don't necessarily like Charlie more, just goes with more middle names we like. Finding it harder to decide between Charlie and Holly).

Thoughts or favourites, or ideas of other names along the same lines we might like? THANK YOU so much in advance x

Jade
Delilah
Eve
Pearl
Tara
Augusta
Eliza
Ingrid
Olive

kavvLar · 28/06/2016 21:20

Robyn? Is that too similar to Rowan?

kavvLar · 28/06/2016 21:21

Robyn Renee or Robyn Rita to continue the RR vibe?

StrugglingAndNeedAHand · 28/06/2016 22:05

No :( and no to another R name, my brother and I were both the same letters and it was such a pain for parents tripping over our names I swore Id never do it 🙈

I like lots of these names, but there's such a difference between liking a name and loving it for your child for life Confused

Or you could forget about a theme and just pick names that are in a similar (sort of) style?

Audra/Audrey
Lydia
Stella/Estelle
Fern
Nyree
Amarys
Lowrie
Celeste

StrugglingAndNeedAHand · 28/06/2016 22:39

Yes! Doesn't have to have a theme at all, open to all suggestions, just as long as it 'goes' with Rowan...
Love Audrey, Stella and Lydia (were all on my list) but DH won't entertain Angry

Love Willow. I think it's perfect with Rowan. I wouldn't worry about matching first and middle name initials. I think Rowan and Willow complementing each other is enough.

If you liked Ivy before, how about Willow Ivy?

Xx

StrugglingAndNeedAHand · 28/06/2016 22:57

Ohh yes. I like Willow Ivy. Will check with DH in the morning. Thank you wintersummer!

Autumn?
Juniper?
Willow does sound lovely though - do report back OP! Smile

marblestatue · 29/06/2016 02:47

Willow Ivy is lovely. Holly Jennifer or Lydia Holly would be nice also!

StrugglingAndNeedAHand · 29/06/2016 12:23

Uuggh he's now gone back to saying Willow only as a middle name 😤 Will keep asking and see if it grows 😬
But a new suggestion - Harper Willow
What's the feeling on Harper?

StrugglingAndNeedAHand · 29/06/2016 12:23

And thank you all so much!!

No offence but giving a double barreled fist name is just so delightfully trashy. One step away from living in a caravan park.

StrugglingAndNeedAHand · 29/06/2016 12:57

It's not double barrelled, it's a first and a middle name Hmm but thanks for your lovely input Hmm

Heidi?

WankersHacksandThieves · 29/06/2016 13:30

Harper is nice enough but is just very associated with the Beckhams now. But that may not bother you at all.

On a similar vein, how about:

Avery
Ainsley
Morven
Ailsa

StrugglingAndNeedAHand · 03/07/2016 07:40

Yes, it's annoying about the beckhams but I like it in its own right. DH is pretty set on Harper Willow and I am pretty set on Willow something (Ivy/Harper/Rae). Not sure how we will agree, it might be a wait and see what she looks like...
Love Avery but DH not. He's so difficult 😁

Ivy is a gorgeous name. As is Rowan. I wouldn't think too much about how they got with middle names as only you will ever think about that. How many of your friends have middle names that you know?

Harper is Beckhams and harpies so an all round bad name IMO.

I would stick with the plant theme:
Ivy
Flora
Dahlia
Myrtle
Daisy
Juniper (shortened to Juna or Juno)

anastasiakrupnik · 04/07/2016 08:49

I like Willow but find Rowan and Willow a but difficult to say together. But I can't pronounce Rs (tongue-tie) so might just ge me.

Harper Willow is lovely, I like the Beckhams and Harper Lee. Just as nice as Willow Ivy but both go well with daughter. Flip a coin?

GoldenWorld · 04/07/2016 11:38

How about Merryn or Saffron? Georgia? Greta? Joely? Matilda? Cerys/Carys? Harriet? Xanthe? Zinnia? Orla? Tamsin? Vivian/Vivienne? Summer? Nicole?

I'm not so keen on Harper, seems a bit too celebrity trendy.

GoldenWorld · 04/07/2016 11:42

Or how about Marnie? Cute and similar to Charlie but not as nicknamey I don't think.

minipie · 04/07/2016 11:56

Oh I love Briony! Any chance you could twist DH's arm?

Briony Blythe...

teatowel · 06/07/2016 23:03

Morgan Willow

caju · 07/07/2016 01:51

I think you're placing far too much importance on the middle name. Literally nobody ever says my middle name, and only my family and the few friends I've known my entire life even know what it is anyway.

The same will be true of your daughter.
