Hi we just can't decide. We know we want a name with Cornish connections. Our list is

Lowenna
Lamorna
Kerenza
Cordelia
Elowen

It will be our first :)

My friend's daughter is called Jessamy (pronounced Jessamee, rather than Jess Amy IYSWIM), which I believe is Cornish.

Damaris is indeed a nice name but it's Biblical - New Testament Greek - not specifically Cornish.

Of your list I like Cordelia or Elowen. Or how about Ysella or Pasca.

florascotia, I used to know that ! Must have mixed it up with Demelza. Ignore me.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I think we are torn between Lamorna, Lowenna and Elowen. My only concern with the last one being would people know how to pronounce it.

I say El-o-wen as in El Owen but don't know if it should be pronounced Elo-wen

I would say El-Oh-Wen, quite soft. I think Elowen is a lot prettier and easier for nicknames too. Second choice would be Lowenna.
Lamorna reminds me of Morticia for some reason, must be the 'mourn' :)

Eia - as in st Ives . You say it 'eye-ya'
It's dd2 middle name
