May I have your honest opinions please?

I have always liked this name, ever since I became friends with one at university. It really suited my friend and I had not heard it used for a person younger than 60 years old.

Surely Sally has got to be due a comeback?! What do you think-like or dislike?

I like it. Cool and retro!

Kenworthington · 21/06/2016 18:01

God I hate it, sorry. My mil is dally and u can only think of her when I see or hear that name!

alanthicke · 21/06/2016 18:06

Love it

HoggleHoggle · 21/06/2016 18:06

I like it too, surprisingly! Didn't think I would.

pieceofpurplesky · 21/06/2016 18:07

I know a 19 year old Sally and a 40 year old Sally. Both are lovely.

sonlypuppyfat · 21/06/2016 18:08

Perfectly lovely a proper name

Dizzydodo · 21/06/2016 18:11

Hmm, I like it but it seems like a name a 60 year old would have. Having said that proper elderly lady names have been 'back' for a few years so I guess it's time for the next generation - Sally, Sharon, Linda, Susan to come back. Sally is pretty though.

Arborea · 21/06/2016 18:21

Love it, and would consider for my own DC. It used to be a common nickname for Sarah, which is another good, solid and currently underused name which I would use in a heartbeat if I didn't have a friend called Sarah

I know a toddler Sally. I like it.

cecilelliott · 21/06/2016 19:57

I love this name - it sounds so happy! Go for it!

allegretto · 21/06/2016 19:58

I love it and wish I had thought of it for DD!

Not for me, I think it sounds soppy. I can't even really explain why but it just makes me think of the name of a dolly or a character in a children's book. Sarah and Sadie (Hebrew version) I like though.

achildsjoy · 21/06/2016 20:03

It's awful, sorry.

PotatoBread · 22/06/2016 21:01

It's a bit bland. The Sally's I know are all over 60 and lovely people but the name itself is a bit blah.

HahahahaFuckYou · 22/06/2016 21:02

sally webster

Junosmum · 22/06/2016 21:04

DH's cousin is Sally. She's 26. It's a plain name, she's lovely but it suits her.

I had a dog called Sally.

CourtJester · 23/06/2016 09:51

I don't like it. Sally sounds silly and sad IMO.

I know a Sallyann, and but really doesn't suit her!

HoggleHoggle · 23/06/2016 12:13

Sally Webster Grin that made me chortle.

PaintedDrivesAndPolishedGrass · 23/06/2016 12:18

I hear Gracie Fields singing Sally, Sally pride of our alley😂
Plus it was the name of MILs shitty arsed little rat of a dog.

icecoldlemons · 23/06/2016 15:32

Bit 80s/90s Manchester sorry

sycamore54321 · 23/06/2016 15:52

For some reason, it sounds like a slap to me, so that would be a no. A close friend of mine was considering it very much for her baby until she remembered (weeks into having it in her list) that her husband's surname, which the baby would take, was McNally!

Quercus3 · 23/06/2016 19:50

It's lovely :)!
