Tom or Tommy?

I do not want him to be Thomas, so please don't suggest that - even if you prefer it.

Should we use Tom or Tommy, on the BC? We will call him both, whichever one we put on the BC. However, I prefer Tommy.

Definitely Tom or there is always the spelling Thom.

Yes, Tom with Tommy as a child's nickname.

We have a Tom ( but Thomas on BC, nn Tommy is regularly used too). Definitely Tom on BC, Tommy and plethora of other nn will follow.

Great choice op, we've never regretted calling him Tom, despite its popularity. It's a proper rough and tumble boys name!

I'm going against everyone else... Go for Tommy. I think it's much nicer - it can also be shortened to Tom Smile

TwinkleStarX · 12/06/2016 16:46

We have a Tomasz called Tom. He is 7 and loves having a z in his name!

Deaver · 12/06/2016 21:33

The obvious thing to do would be to name him Tom, then use Tommy as a nn.

MummyMaisy · 13/06/2016 11:55

Tommy... NN Tom
