Hi, looking for thoughts on Kaylee? I prefer Kayleigh - what even is the original???

Horrid name to burden a child with.

A girl I used to work with got pregnant and was planning to call the baby Kaylee. Her name was Kay and her husband's name was Lee! Sad but true. Luckily they had a boy!!

Ha ha purpleshortcake my child's name would be terrible if I did that!

The Caylee Anthony association is a bit unfortunate.

The Kayleigh spelling definitely makes me think of the song. It's a better spelling all round. 70s and 80s names are about to have a huge revival.

I knew a Kayleigh when i was younger, she will be in her 20's now. It alwasys suited her. It was girly enough, but also suitable for more of a tom-boy. Still cute, but could be professional.

I also like Hailey/Hayley

A "Michaela" in my family often called "Kayleigh" by close family as a child. Prefers "Michaela" now as more "grown-up" and "professional".

Agree that Kayleigh is the norm in the UK. I'd actually go for Kayley before hitting on Kaylee. There's a character in a US show my DD loves called Kailie so there's always that option too!

I know a Caylie. Her dad made the spelling up. Quite pretty.

Sorry to any Kayleighs/Kaylees above but I definitely wouldn't call a new baby this name. My dd has a name that was of it's time rather than classic and now she's a teenager, although it's a pretty name, I do wish I'd chosen something more traditional.

Prefer the Kayleigh spelling, even if it does make me think of the song! I dislike -ee endings for names in general.

If you like the eee sound, I'm asinine based on Harmony and Kayleigh then how about Coralie (also has a nature vibe to go with Robin), or Connie (could go with Constance if you want the traditional full name).

Or Cecily
